Skógkassinn (e. forest box) is a box for collecting organic materials during trips to the forest. It contains a informational pamphlet about what is in season, what materials to pick and how to use them. It is supposed to draw attention to the fact that food is available elsewhere than in supermarkets and gas-stations, even during the coldest winters in Iceland.
