flourishing gut

2018

Gut microbiota is a name given to the microbe population living in our intestine. There is more bacteria living in our gut than there are stars in the galaxy. 90% of cells in your body are bacterial cells - does that mean we are more bacterial than human? Bacteria is involved in just about every process in our bodies, they function almost as a second brain. For instance most neurotransmitters are produced in the gut microbiome, 90% of serotonin is produced in our intestines, which might mean that the bacteria inside of you may control the way you feel, think and behave. Is our health dependant on feeding living organisms inside of us? The happier the gut microbiota is, the happier we are - and in order to keep the microbiota happy we should eat healthy food, loads of fibre, exercise and relax, but that can be a lot of work.
Flourishing gut is a world where a selected few work towards being their perfect selves in order to keep their gut flora the happiest and healthiest, to then sell to the general public. By ingesting the gut flora of another person you can gain some of their mental or physical health or some of their personality traits. So Would you rather pay for ingesting poop from another person than to put in time and effort in order to improve your mental and physical health?
